Baby Shower Dress Stands DIY

1) I bought 3/4" dowel rods for the body and 1/4" dowel rods for the arms.

2)I drilled a hole through the rods for the body to slide the arm rods through

3) I cut 5" x 5" square boards and I routered the edges just to give them a nicer look. I hand sand each side. I drilled a hole in the center so the body dowel rod could fit. 

4) I used wood glue to help hold the body dowel rod into the hole

5) Just for added support, I also screwed each dowel rod into the bottom

6) I slid each arm rod into the body rods. Make sure you sand around the holes to get the excess wood splinters off.

7) Now they are ready to spray paint

8) I chose to spray these with a white spray paint 

9) I drilled a small hole on the top of the body rod to add a toothpick so I could make tags with the baby's name on them

Add your dresses and you have the perfect baby shower centerpieces!
